The sky is lighted up by fiery Leo energy with this new moon.
New Moon times can be said to be the coming together of the masculine yang of the Sun and the feminine Yin of the moon. This monthly marriage of the Sun and moon is a time for us to be still, and to tune into our inner knowing as to where we are, and how we are in our lives. It is during this time that we can plan for what we wish to see unfold in our futures. New moon times are especially potent for wish making and intention setting.
The sign of Leo rules the heart. Leo energy is warm, life affirming, expressive and creative. This new moon in Leo is conjunct to a retrograde Venus, who has been asking us to consider what our hearts truly value, and whether we are expressing and aligning with our hearts, and expressing the truth of who we are in our lives.
Some questions to consider during this new moon are, where and how do we experience joy in our life? Are there areas in our life which could use more playfulness and spontaneous expression? What are our values in friendship, romance, love and creativity? Do we feel that we can express and create a life based on our heart’s true values? How is our heart doing?
With Uranus trined to the new moon, we may find that it is easy to break through any stale mates with regards to old patterns that hold us back from living and expressing from our hearts. We may also find it easy to renew affections and relationships at this time. Uranus trine to the new moon also speaks to creative break throughs and realizations, innovation and genius. The Leo Sun and Moon combination asks us to shine our light out onto the world, and to live a life aligned with our heart’s fire.

Blue Moon in Aquarius

Happy Blue Moon in Aquarius. The blue moon phenomena happens once every two to three years. Although there has been no special meaning assigned to the blue moon astrologically, this particular full moon has its own particular brand of magic.
The Aquarian full moon encourages us to find and center in our own truth and authenticity. Do we believe in something that sets us apart from others? Can we find the courage inside of ourselves to live our truth and to be ourselves if that means being different? What would it take for us to live centered in our authenticity?
The full moon is a time of ripening. We experience the results and lessons that come from our intentions and actions from previous cycles. What is appearing for you at this time? The full moon in Aquarius lights the path by rapidly firing innovative and eclectic ideas. She invites you to take a clear, detached,bird’s eye view of your life. As we are immersed in the energies of Aquarius’s electric genius, we begin to see where and how we can begin to live more authentically.
Aquarius rules humanitarianism, groups, collectives, communities, friendships as well as technology. I have been suffering from a bout of ‘almost’ having a Urinary Track Infection (UTI) this past week. People who had similar or used to getting UTI would know what I am talking about… its having the pain, yet not full fledge infection symptoms. Quite annoying really, but it got contained. Though I have been always very careful about my kidney as I know they are weak, this was something new to me. Normally symptoms like this goes in 1 day and this has lingered on for almost a week.
With so many things going on for me at this past 2 weeks, I didn’t get to really ask myself, or pay attention to what’s this about until I spoke to a friend today. I told him I had a week of almost UTIs and I’m starting to get worried, so asked him to energetically check what is going on.
“Who are you pissed off at?”
And that was all it takes to bring my awareness to the situation. That’s right! I am pissed off. There is so much build up emotionally inside me that needs to come up but its just not getting out at this point in time. Lots of conflicting information and feelings of abandonment and loss going on that I am not able to deal with now. So my body has once again, though its amazing reaction, reminded me that I need to look at this head on now.
So I made an appointment with myself tonight to look deeper at what is the root cause of the issue, acknowledge it, release the emotion and bring myself back to Balance.
I encourage you to listen to your body at all times, as each imbalance in your body tells you something you need to know and work on now. Not sure how it relates? Come speak to anyone of us. Sometimes all it takes is a awareness and listening ear.

A couple of weeks ago, Heartworks lost a beloved member of our team, HannyOceanstar Tara. While I did not know her personally, by all accounts she was a beautiful soul, committed to healing and illuminating those around her with her presence. Her passing made me reflect on a number of things: the fleetingness of life as well as all the opportunities that come our way that we take for granted and miss out on, believing that there will always be a next time.
In particular, it brought to the forefront a message that had previously been given to me:
“Life is Precious and Urgent. Love, the Universe”
Most of us do not think about how quickly life can be taken away. There is always tomorrow, and the day after that. Some people are not so lucky and live with an awareness of their impending passing. People confronted with having a limited time left on earth usually have one of two reactions, they give up and resign themselves to their fate or they take the opportunity to live the best days of their lives and accomplish as many of their dreams as they can.
The truth is, all of us, whether we know it or not, are in the same position. While we may not have doctors telling us when we will pass on, the day will inevitably come whether it is tomorrow or 50 years from now. Similarly, we are all faced with the same choice every time we wake up in the morning. Do we give in and resign ourselves to the way things are or do we take the opportunity to make the best use of our time here as we can?
What if we all lived with an awareness that we could pass on at any time? What would you do differently? Who would you speak to that you have not spoken to? What risks and opportunities would you take? What dreams would you chase?
On your deathbed, how would you speak about the life that you had led?
I have a poster of that message in my room. It reminds me not to take my time on earth for granted, to constantly choose action over inaction and to cultivate an appreciation and love for those around me.We do not know what the future will bring but we do have the present moment. I choose to live in the present moment based on a future that I want for myself.
