What is Inner Dance?
The Inner Dance is a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual flow that arises when one comes into a deeper awareness of our selves upon the release of mental and energetic blockages that trap us from experiencing the world more fully.
It is an expansion of both our experience of the world and our perceptions of it once we understand how contracted we are and how we can simply access more relaxed and flowing innate power once we step out of fear-based thinking into a more integrative visioning of our essential selves.
The Inner Dance is a way of perceiving parts of reality as they truly are … as energy, vibration and as frequency. To perceive the world in these levels is also to intuitively understand how to manage it beyond the limitations of a purely logical construct. Essentially, we have the aptitude to become so much more than what layers of mental conditionings regularly define us to be.
In Inner Dance, a person begins by accessing an inner source that when it builds up, creates tremendous energetic movement within the physical and emotional body. From the perspective of Kundalini, this build-up starts from the lower three chakras, which open as the upper three also start descending, which both movements meeting at the heart chakra.
The basic difference of the Inner Dance from dance in general is the source of the movement. Dance is usually something coordinated by the brain which tells the body to move.
The Inner Dance is an automatic and spontaneous movement of the self that actually catches the ego and the conscious mind by surprise. If the person is not in awe of their body suddenly moving with a careful ecstatic grace that they have not felt before, then they have not yet accessed the Inner Dance and will know that they have more inner work and detaching to do in the outer reality.
